ICACCI 2017 – International Conference on Advances in Computing, Communications, and Informatics
The Departments of Computer Applications, Information & Communication Technology, & Computer Science Engineering successfully organized the IEEE 6th International Conference on Advances in Computing, Communications and Informatics (ICACCI’17) as a part of the on-going Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of MIT, Manipal.
The scope of ICACCI was to provide an international forum for the exchange of ideas among interested researchers, students, developers, and practitioners in the areas of computing, communications, and informatics. Since its inauguration in 2012, ICACCI has developed into a reputable conference and is attended by experts in all aspects related to computing and information from all over the world. The Conference is indexed by Scopus, DBLP and Google Scholar since 2012 and by Ei Compendex and Web of Science since 2013.
The conference was well received the sponsors and delegates alike from all over the world. The conference registration statistics show that the total number of papers received was 1450 (including ACN) and the total number of papers accepted was 465.
The conference was of a truly international and global nature given that the number of paper submissions received were from authors of 35 countries. Close to 550 delegates attended the conference and the oral presentations had nearly 70 session chairs.
The conference concluded on the fourth and final day afternoon with a Women in Computing and Informatics (WCI) panel discussion on the topic “Women empowerment in work environment” chaired by Dr. Aditi Muzumdar (Professor, University of California, USA).
